The Vespa has such a classic look, I had to have one. Every year at the local motorcycle show, I would go to the Vespa exhibit booth and sit on every Vespa. When the 300 came out I went to my local dealer (Scooterville). They had a Dradon Red GTS300 Super - I bought late in the riding season and got it home before the snow hit. I was in heaven just looking at in my garage.

In the same classic look, many of you have a favorite hat. Show me your look.

I really like the eight panel "Newsboy Hat". It was a classic in college. From Hanna Hasts in Donegal Ireland.

I actually have three of these hats. All from Ireland.

I just received this Hanna Hat to wear this Winter. Show me your favorite hat.

Tilley "Mash Up" Hat. This is the older version -- I've tried to buy a second one, but the newer ones just aren't as good and don't have as much height.

I've worn this for years, lost it several times, and recovered it each time. I now have an Apple AirTag in the hidden pocket, which reminds me when I leave it behind somewhere.

Hah. I hadn't heard this story. Yes, same brand, though I have a different model -- the "AirFlo", I think.

I was hooked on "Major Crimes" for a while so bought myself a Louis Provensa-ish white bucket hat.

I wanted to get a green bucket hat a la Vera, but couldn't find one.

Off topic, but your comment reminded me about a recent local comic strip in 'Fingerpori'- series

A rough Finnish-English translation:

An officer tapping the keyboard: 'Police is asking for the public's assistance, to identify a middle-aged male.'

The caller: ' Usually they have a beard and they listen to pop music'.

I've owned this hat for 25 years. It's been with me in over 90 countries. It's big enough to cover my ears and shade my eyes, but it's foldable and it doesn't blow off or flop up in a high wind. It also doubles as a sweatband.

I have three favourites.

Stetson 'travel hat' for the sunny days. It's 10+ years old, seen better days, but still in a good shape.

A fur hat. Nice for the walks below -25C (-13F).

A wool beanie by Vai-ko. This one is super warm, douple wool layers, actually doable for those sub -25C walks too. And gets less bad looks than my fur hat....

Hey DiBiasio, you are looking as though there's an arachnid crawling around in that hat or you've just done a bag snatch off a sweet old lady👵 who couldn't chase you cos her false leg🦵 fell off then as she hit the deck🤾‍♂️ her glass eye popped out 🧿 and went down a drain.

I am, as they say, 'a man of many hats', and it's impossible to choose a favorite, mostly because my favorite is whatever I'm wearing at the time, but 'normally', and perhaps something of a disappointment to some for it's lack of my almost trademark eccentricity, I must admit that 90% of the time I wear a very plain, generic, non-imprinted, non-mesh, $4 ball cap from Wal-Mart. Preferably black, and invariably embellished with a smattering of cat fuzz.

Do you know how difficult it is to buy a baseball ball/trucker cap with nothing printed or embroidered on it?

Hahahahaha Buggsy,

You think the worst of me man! I was at the Getty Museum last month @ an exhibit featuring a countryman of yours, William Blake. That bag is not ill-gotten gains but a gift I'd bought for my father.

Footnote: now that I think of it, everything in that museum is essentially ill-gotten gains. This exhibit was on loan however. 1st time in the states.
