Mine was similar but with an anchor. In the tropics we used a white cover.

Here are a couple.
Vintage Harris Tweed on Julian, my immersive stereo recording head.
Correction - it is not Harris, it's a Stetson.

Thank you skids. This kid hasn't had the easiest time getting started. He was born premature (about the size of a squirrel), dad left him and is currently homeless and his step dad passed of tongue and throat cancer. My sister's man picker has always been broken. He's good in school and plans to get a degree while in the Navy. It's the best thing he could've done. I'm looking forward to seeing him excel and make a difference!

Thought I'd show you fancy hat guys my wife's dad's hat before she sells it. He was from Far Rockaway and bought it in the city either late 50s or early 60s she thinks.

Late to the party.

I've had it for many years. I can't remember where I got it but I didn't buy it new. It must have come from a garage sale or thrift store.

Yes.

I ordered it from eBay. It was intended to go on my uniform but I didn't read the listing close enough and it was 1/4 the size I thought it was so it went on the hat. Totally my fault.

Yokohama Whales baseball cap… Aside from the glorious logo (check the stitching of the baseball doubling as a clearing of the blowhole.) my pops saw them play in the late 50s as a kid living in Japan.
Repop.

There was a store here for a short time that was part secondhand, part reseller. Much of the reseller stuff was of dubious origin.

One of the tables had a stack of pink baseball caps in kid sizes that were supposed to read "Daddy's Little Angel", but had been misspelled to read "Daddy's Little Angle".

Should've bought the whole stack.

I have a hat I wear to EDC and Tomorrowland that says "Aging Raver". The first iteration had a slight error in that they embroidered "Aging River". They said keep it and expressed a proper one immediately so I wasnt upset. Chuckled a bit then a friend asked if she could have it so she now has Aging River and I have Aging Raver.

So I plugged "Aging Raver" into an anagram maker and came up with some interesting results including, but not limited to :

ear graving
er ravaging
gain graver
give Ragnar
gar vinegar
angrier vag
avg earring
raging vera
grave nigra

some of which sound like great names for a punk band, but none of which would I really want on a hat, nor would I mention some in mixed company.
