No, it's two stage. He mentioned clearcoat.

I did spray the rear wheelwell with single. It was pretty hot in the booth today. On the inside of the legshield and tunnel, the overspray drys really fast and leaves some funky spots. I'll need to sand and buff to come close to your SS paint job.

I had to update my technique for this black paint after seeing some sand scratches in the shade. Here are the compounds in order with corresponding pads after wet sanding using 2500. This wax I tried from Turtle Wax is really good stuff.

Yes, that's my 3 inch rotary air buffer. The pads are four inch hook and loop style. My big electric buffer is rotary as well. It does a better job but without having the mudguard secured to something, it would fling it across my driveway. 🤣 Seems to be lots of inexpensive air buffers on the market these days.

Wow, that looks fantastic.

One thing I learned with buffing paint; I was too afraid of burning through to buff long enough or hard enough. Not that you have to use a lot of pressure, but it does take some effort.

Good to practice on an old panel that you don't care about. Crank up the buffer. Lean into it. See what happens. It will give you an idea of how much is too much.

Here's a teaser. This is the first stage of polishing. Looking to get the swirl marks out tomorrow. I'm still not satisfied with the repair to the runs on the horncast so I'm thinking of spending more time on those.

All of us dying to see it assembled.
Flagship model in better than factory finish.
Just enough power upgrades to make it viable for some touring.

So far, I'm sticking with the original tube style with BGM tires Ray8 recommended. I'm planning on riding this sucker around Oregon, Ventura to Phoenix and a short dip into Baja. Still waiting on my SIP cylinder. I'll run stock until then.
