Hi everyone!

So I have a dilemma .
About 2 years ago I bought a 1999 model ET4 (badged ET8). Its the viola colour , lavender, with 10,000km on it. I had some teouble with the carby and getting replacemwnt parts here in australia or shipped from overseas is hard and expensive.

Last week , another ET4 in the same colour came up for sale, and it was registered as a 2001 model so I thought great, it will have a leader engine and the parts will be easier to get. So we drove the 10hour round trip, picked it up and brought it home.
Only after bringing it home did I learn that it has the same engine as the one I already have 😭

So heres my dilemma
I really dont need 2 lavender ET4 s with the same engine, so which one do I keep?
The 99 model has less kilometers but slightly more damage to paintwork. The 2001 model (compliance plate 2000) has more kilometers but better paintwork and the original working carby.

I am yet to see any other vespas in this colour listed anywhere here in australia 🤷‍♀️

Sounds like you just found a solution to this problem.

Yes, I'm fairly new here. We are currently in a rental and space is an issue, which one would you guys make your ride and which one would you keep aside? Is a vespa badged ET8 going to be with more in the long run as its harder to come by?
Appreciate the replies 😀

Adding pictures ( although not that good as it's raining here and I don't want to get them out)
