Dash on Piaggio scooters-upper left max speed number questio

On the new( newer) Piaggio series scooters ( maybe Vespas too ) the dash displays a max speed number in the upper left corner. Does this number stay untill surpassed on future rides or is it just for that particular ride/event ? My 2015 GTS does not display this. Asking as I'm getting a new BV 400. Want to know if dealer ran it hard or not. Thanks for any replies.

Most dealers will run a pre delivery inspection where they unwrap, attach mirrors etc, fill up the battery liquids and do a short test ride to confirm that there are no faults with the bike at all - often up to a maximum speed.

I wouldn't be concerned about it.
