Got this one from my wife.

I just noticed the shape of the handle.

Clever, if a bit morbid.

Oddly enough, I just posted this.



And I have waaaay too many coffee cups to mention. Unlike hats.

My wife got into pottery last year and she made this for me. It is one of her early throws. It is her interpretation of a Hoosier sunset as seen from our living room.

My coworkers assumed it was support for Gay Pride month so that's OK too especially where I work. 😊

I get sad when this is in the dishwasher and I need to drink from one of the many other perfectly acceptable coffee cups.

my favorite cup/mug is a the first one out of the cupboard. As long as its only got 1 hole in it and can maintain heat for 10 min while I slug down that liquid gold and refill it 4-5 times its good.

I'm a potter so I've got a million coffee cups/mugs around!

Some of my sentimental favorites I made when I was starting out; a series for my family making a mold of my father's postal worker badge and glazing them with the old USPS colors he wore every day.

To be fair, I start my day with a cup of green tea, tip out any residue and fill with coffee for breakfast.

BTW, cups in the dishwasher, so will debut here later...

I drink my tea out of a Starbucks 'Vespa' coffee mug. I drink my coffee out of an espresso cup...

When our son, Sam, lived in Chicago, we used to go to the Art Institute of Chicago every visit.

This Edward Hopper painting, Nighthawks, is my favorite there.

So my daughter bought this coffee mug for me.

I don't use it for coffee because I have a Yeti coffee mug that keeps the coffee hot for an hour.

But it makes a great pen holder at the office.

As an homage to the painting, on a Chicago trip with our daughter, I saw an opportunity to photograph her at a coffee counter.

It has been used as my phone start screen ever since.

If I WERE to use milk, you bet it would go in the cup FIRST, though.

Kettle, yes. Unlike coffee, tea is brewed with boiling water. Adding milk to water of that temperature can scald it. Milk first is the proper way to add it to tea.

The water isn't boiling after the tea is steeped in the pot for 2-5 minutes (depending...).

If you ever wanna keep declaring independence you gotta get a dash of salt in there, at the risk of damaging the Special Relationship.

This 20 oz cup keeps me caffeinated til noon.

When I was a kid my mom was drinking tea. She asked if I would like a cup.
Sure, I said

"Milk or lemon?" She asked.
Both, I said.

I kid. -Also half Colombian, so I take coffee-consumption very seriously.
