My daughter will be pleased that her creation could be an inspiration to your wife. She, too, has gotten into ceramics. It has been a way to share her imagination. |

Yeah, squeezing is a no go for me as well. I prefer loose tea, so the strainer will sit in the saucer after brewing, but some types I like come only in bags. This nice little ceramic saucer collects them until I deem it right to dispose of them.
Also, my favorite mug, a gift from my daughter who spent a semester several years ago at University of Nottingham. It's a depiction of the Fortnum & Mason storefront in London. My other favorite is a small mug that my grandson uses for tea with grandpa when he's visiting. Cheers, Bob ![]() The collector of spent tea and spoons

I ordered aluminum cups from alusipper for my little bar. They've quickly become my favorite cups for everything. I actually ended up taking two of them home with me, and I've been using them non-stop ever since.
They're perfect for my morning brew, but I use them throughout the day for everything from water to soup because they're super easy to clean. And durable as heck. I've dropped them more times than I care to admit, and they've come out intact every single time. ![]() |

It wasn't very expensive, though I suppose one could cobble something together pretty easily, it's not a very complicated device. You put a capsule over the hole, you press down with the lid / plunger (which has a central "finger" that pushes down on the capsule) and it collects the grounds in the bucket below. You can then rinse the aluminum shells (or not) and recycle them. The grounds can go in the bin, down the sink, or (in my case) into the compost bin. A little work, but much more likely to get recycled than the ship-it-back-to-Nespresso solution. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B1556NN9 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
