Today I came up with the phrase, "Twitter, formally known as X". Undoubtedly said before but I never heard it so I'll gladly play Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz to the Isaac Newton who beat me to it and just enjoy it.

Tubi. Just noticed they have the entire Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) series.
The list under "My Stuff" is a little telling.

I do miss oysters in New Orleans. I like mine broiled kind of like Oysters Rockefeller (I believe originally from New Orleans). That would cheer me up.

My Son and his wife bought one of those old narrow side hall shotgun houses just a few blocks of the French Quarter. Now, I have an excuse to visit NOLA, stay free and eat oysters.

Spent part of a tense evening at El Coyote in L.A. -- many years ago -- explaining to an inebriated William Katt that my assistant didn't really want him hitting on her. My writing partner finally yanked him up and escorted him outside to the sidewalk. Good times!

Today we wrapped up the 2023/2024 ski season. Before the ski season opened I was not sure there would be a 2023/2024 season for me due to a knee injury during the 2022/2023 season. Skiing 16 pain free days this season has been a tremendous win for me.
Now I'm shifting focus to other things. Hiking, camping, and of course lots of PTW time in the coming months. A finale note to be cheerful about today... The sierra Nevada snow pack is at 112% of normal as of today. Another drought free summer in California and Nevada. This should help keep large fires at bay.

That said, I've been considering just calling it "Ten". Which happens to be a good description for Elon Musk, or anyone else who thinks the CyberTruck looks "cool" -- the CyberTruck having obviously been designed by a ten-year-old with a new set of crayons.

It's a combination of them being so big they take up the entire lane and the owners being incredibly stupid so they lack the ability to drive it.
Sadly if a Cyber Truck hits your car, yours will come off worse as they don't have crumple zones. It's an absolute slab of stupidity. As a cheeky edit - It's driven by people who don't understand cars. |

While stopping at Carhenge near Alliance, Nebraska this afternoon, I was cheered by the sight of the freshly painted art installation in an attractive Battleship Grey, and also by the number of birds who were busy building their nests into the bowels of some of Detroit's upended finest.

I finally got to do an accurate mileage check on my Primavera 150. 73.7 MPG, mostly easy riding, few hills. While that's not the advertised amount, it's still pretty darn good!
And so, that cheers me up
