Modern Vespa

This morning, as I was about to get into the shower for my daily bathing, I looked and saw a small lizard on the shower floor.

It was moving slowly, so I knew that it was alive, so I got a cloth and picked it up.

As I was taking it to release it outside, I noticed that it was green, signifying that it was a now rare chameleon.

I was pleased to see it scurry off once outside and free again.

The Axe throwing at a bar has also taken off in the Twin Cities. I expect the booze and axe throwing will not end well. I think you can actually schedule and rent a lane to throw the axes with beer and cocktails available to your group. I think they have them sign waivers - participate at your own risk. However, the waivers never hold up in court.

Anole lizard - saw so many in SFL growing up- several species can change color depending on their mood and stress level. We have them up here in the Carolinas, but just a fraction of what I saw down south.

We had them all over when I lived in Bradenton. They were some of the nicest people I met there.

I'll have to look for the picture. I think there was a red patterned shirt that went with them that had a white collar that reached past my shoulders.

I think I have a picture of me and my brother wearing suits like that at a wedding. I'll see if I can find it.

It was 'pajama day.'

I was riding around my neighborhood today wearing a short sleeved shirt.

Warmer than usual.

I am so pleased that I can ride all year.

I can honestly say I don't think anyone ever showed up for school or anything else in pajamas the entire time I was growing up.

Now it seems half the people under 45 or so are wearing PJs everywhere. School, work, walking down the street, on airline flights. Amazing. I pick up a couple grandkids from elementary and middle school, half of them are wearing pajamas and onesies. I'd have died a thousand deaths of embarrassment.

If the patrons aren't morons then nothing ever goes to court to test the waiver in the first place.

I still remember the day over 50 years ago when I was 4 or 5 when I went to school in my PJ's. I had my school clothes over the top it's just that I forgot to take my Jimjams off before I got dressed!

SAW A VESPA IN THE WILD!

Only a couple of times have i seen one outside of the city before (ignoring club rides).

Saw what I think was a GT200 at a town called Wandong on the way home from my interstate trip to get a lunchtime coffee.

I rode 5km at 40-50kph on a dry grass track yesterday. As I was taking the cover off the transmission today unsurprisingly a haystack fell out 🤣

I got a comfort letter, and didn't get evicted yet. And I'm committed to not giving my opinion on modern repair. Three positives and no negs.

My wife made a coffee cake so I decided to make her a cappuccino with the Bellman. The steamer works very well. It's not quite like the real deal but it'll put a smile on your face. It's a win win morning for me so far!

Two good things happened to me this week.

Both, very small, similar acts, reminded me that the world is full of good people.

I had lunch with a client a month ago at a restaurant close to my office.

I have lunch there every week or two, but this time one of the servers, Heather, tapped me on the shoulder and handed me a hat that the client must have left behind.

I will get it back to him soon.

The second was an umbrella that I used on a rainy night in Weaverville in early November.

I had walked with our dog, Henry, from the BnB to Eluvium Brewery for dinner and a beer.

When we left, I forgot to bring it with us. Then forgot again the next night.

Last night, we had dinner there with son Sam and his wife, Sara.

As we left, I noticed the umbrella in the lost and found box, still there six weeks later.

I was playing Golf yesterday and I hit a 5 Iron to within 1 foot of the pin.

Tap in birdie and then when on to beat my partners boss 5 and 3 in match play.
