Hey All, i currently own a 2015 sprint 150 and the other day i purchased a 2021 Vespa Sprint 150 from auction that was a thief recovery.

once i picked it up i realized it has a broken column lock, ignition, bended brake leaver, broken foot cover ( under steering), and a dent on the side of the body . It came with brown and black key as well a small remote with 2 buttons. ( my other Sprint 2015 didn't come with a remote )

i would like to see if i can get it started/running before i start ordering parts,
I've connected the battery and remote works, one button opens the seat and other honks and lights go on
after a quick inspection it looks like some one stole it or tried steeling it by using a screw driver (very common to have scooters stolen in my city my buddy had 2 Yamaha Zuma stolen within 1 year ).

I've pulled out the ignition switch , turned it to on position and dash lights came on ,all lights started to work. I've put the key brown or black next to the immobilizer antenna ( its currently loose not attached to lock column ) and tried to start the engine up but no luck, am i missing a step ( switch is as it should and i am pressing break ) ? does the remote have a function to lock and unlock like a car alarm does ? anything else i can check ?

maybe the immobilizer antenna got damaged.

what does the immobilizer light on the dash do when you hold the key next to the antenna for several seconds while turning on the ignition?

the remote that came with my supertech has no relevance to the immobiliser. it's only to open seat and to flash the turn signals

(Side stand folded in?)
Killswitch?
Break light is working?
Tried both breaks?
Can you hear the fuel pump whirring when you turn on the ignition?
Checked all fuses for continuity with a multimeter?

Hey, been a little busy, but parts are coming in this week so hopefully ill work on it over the weekend,

the immobilizer light blinks 3 times and stays on all the time ( i found somewhere that error can be indicated by the type of blink ill look into it this weekend)

Any way to test the antenna if it works ? does the antenna needs to be connected/ attached to the ignition key lock ( some sort of ground ) as its currently loose ?

(Side stand folded in?) - ill check if it has the side stand, i think it only has the dual stand that lifts off the rear tire ,

Kill switch? - might switch it form my 2015 and test it out

Break light is working? - its working
Tried both breaks? - pressed both breaks no luck
Can you hear the fuel pump whirring when you turn on the ignition?- i will check but i don't recall hearing anything
Checked all fuses for continuity with a multimeter? ive checked fuses in 2 location 4-5 fuses under the ignition key and 2 by the battery,

Do you have the digital dash?

If the side stand is down, you'll see a symbol and the Vespa won't start as a safety precaution. The side stand is an optional extra though, and a lot don't have this.

The kill switch usually lights up a symbol on the digital dash if it is active.

Does the back brake light illuminate when you press either brake lever?

The starter switch can get corroded as well, so try pressing it 20 or so times with the brake lever pulled back in the hope that it catches and fires up.

My guess however is that this will be related to the immobiliser system.

I would use the brown key for these tests as that's the master key.

Just to confirm though, what happens when you try and start the Vespa? Do you hear anything? Does it try to turn over, but doesn't fire? Or is it just silent?

It's supposed to go off. So this is your problem not other things like side stand or kill switch or brake lights.

Thx all for the input, i think i figured out the issue, when i turn the ignition switch the Red led light blinks and than 2x quicker, but when i have the key near the antenna, it blinks once and than 3x quicker , as i does not read the keys, and it seems antenna is working,

Now how can i reprogram the brown key ? i don't have any vespa card or anything, can i send the ecu somewhere to recover it ? Any places in New york that can do it ?
