Hello all
I've enjoyed months of reading your threads while working on my first project bike. 1979 P200E. 50th birthday present for wife. Hope she likes it.

Im trying to hunt down some missing parts, hoping some of you may help me with.

-the front fender reflectors, even if they are ugly, trying to be as original as possible

-the head cover light indicators for head light and turn signal.

- the white cowl inserts that pop into the frame for the grounding.

Im sure there's more but we'll start with that.
Thanks for all your help in advance.

Good Day Buffalochards

I suggest that you share your location. That way someone is more likely to either assist or point you in the right direction. Good luck with your restoration.

I will put in a plug for Scooter Mercato. Good parts and prices, fast shipping and user friendly website.

Their old school, answer the phone, customer service puts them over the top. As a customer, they treat me like a big baller even though I'm not.

Pics of your (wife's?😉) ride would be great. Good luck with your project.

That's David's business model. "Vampire Capitalism" makes you feel like a player in the game, like a buddy, and then sucks out all your blood (dough). Sheee-iittt...My fucking bank just sends him a copy of all my CC cards now when they get reissued.

I say we band together with pitch forks and a silver screw driver and take him out.

Even though it's only a few hours away, I can't join this crusade because Dave wrote a personal note on my Christmas card this year.

See! That's how he does it! I got one too. It's all part of his evil plan to take over the world (of vintage vespas).

He's always one step ahead of us! He's never sent me a Bitte Zahlung freigeben email either, which doesn't hurt his standing with me, either.

Thanks everyone
We're in Arizona and I've had a lot of help from 2nd Ave Scooters and Scooter Mercato but i'm looking for original parts for these three items.

I attached a photo. Don't beat me up too bad. It's our first one.

Scooterwest has (at least the amber) indicators and the cowl contacts.
Mudguard reflectors will be a challenge to find, to say the least.

Same. A very targeted note no less. Almost like we spend 45 mins bullshitting every time I call to order anything. He's the best honestly.

Most P series front fender reflectors either were lost while riding or purposely removed by their owners. The indicators for high beam and neutral are equally very hard to find.
The ones in the link below from Amazon are not just reflectors, but also contain LED lights, but they are very close to the original size reflectors. Perhaps the reflector lens can be carefully cut out from the lights and glued to the fender with double side automotive foam tape.

These are OEM CEV reflectors for Italian mopeds. Other than the bracket, which could be removed, the hole spacing should match the P 200 front fender:

Great stuff SP949.
I'll take a chance on the reflectors. What were the original color of the indicators? I've seen some that are blue and some that are greeen.

The high beam is blue and should go on the left side, the green one is for the turn signals, and goes to the right. Good luck with your project!

You picked a great bike for a first project. The same bike was actually recommended to me (here). And it wasn't really a "project".

Keep us posted.

I love the project and it looks outstanding thus far.

As others have noted, for some reason there are better (i.e. more accurate to the OG parts) replacements available for things like reflectors and lights than the "official" re-pop parts the major parts houses carry.

You have to know what you're looking for, but moped shops like treatland.tv have some good stuff, as well as lots of Ebay options--but there, you *really* need to know what you're looking for.

I wouldn't normally buy anything mechanical on Ebay, but for for a tail light lens, reflector, or even turn signal? Sure, if I can't find what I want elsewhere.

If my wife's birthday involved a scooter, though, the gift would be me telling her I sold one. Razz emoticon
