So, last night I was scooting along on my 79 P125X with every light working and the next moment nada... no headlight, brake light, turn signal, speedo light, nothing! Horn still works, but I have not had time to check the actual bulbs.

I am sure I'll get to the bottom of the issue, but before I start chasing my tail for a couple of hours, I was wondering if anyone else has had the same and is able to offer some insights. Ignition and rectifier are new.

Horn I'm guessing is off a battery, lights off the stator? If so, I'm guessing a power wire unplugged somewhere along the line (junction box, rectifier, keyswitch).

If its a euro P, either the regulator failed or the grey/green wires are unplugged from the regulator.
Could be a short circuit anywhere on the grey wire but then you'd be really unlucky.

Sorry, I omitted from the original post that my PX is one without a battery...

No problem. Like Jack said, start looking for unplugged wires.

Update: Spent lunch swapping out the rectifier with one that was known to work and (touch wood) it seems to have solved the issue.

What struck me was the difference in size between the BGM one that came out with less than 100 miles on it and the large one that I had fitted before my Norway trip (3000 miles). The only reason I replaced the latter was that the smaller BGM one came with the contactless ignition, and I had assumed that they would be better together...
