Unfortunately, I don't keep any data on browser usage. So I am not really sure how many of you out there might still be using Internet Explorer 11 (or earlier).

IE11 is somewhat of a sore point in that its existence holds back some of the more modern HTML mechanisms that I could be using to make page layout easier. So I'd like to be done with it, but haven't quite gotten to the point where I feel comfortable abandoning people who might still be using it.

If you're an IE user, please speak up. If you don't want to do so in a public thread, send me a PM and let me know.

Thanks.

Official support for IE 11 ends in June 2022, so I think you can go forward... my opinion

Agreed, but the end of official support doesn't actually mean everyone stops using it.

For sure, but is only a end point or a countdown

Exactly, I know folks who used Windows XP until their computer completely died aboyr 8 years after all support for it ended.

And IE6 was the bane of web designers everywhere for many, many years after it was "officially" over.

You don't have to tell me, it was browser of choice for all those XP users who wouldn't switch. I eventually solved it with conditional CSS that gave them plain basic structural websites.

I eventually solved it by abandoning any pretext of making that browser work. But that was many years later.

I was just at one of our manufacturing facilities and a workstation responsible for a massive piece of machinery was running WindowsXP.

I will just resist the urge sign on to MV from that workstation.
