I was admiring my new cylinder before the install and noticed that the new cylinder does not have a locater pin but the old cylinder does. The cases do have a provision for the pin. I am not sure how big a deal the lack of a pin is and/or how critical the exact location or position of the cylinder is. I know the holes for the studs are a bit larger so the cylinder has plenty of wiggle room.
Do I attempt to drill my own hole for the pin or let it ride?
