I currently own a Piaggio Beverly 300 from 2012. Since last week my engine light came on after about 5-10 minutes of driving. The engine light stays on until I turn the scooter off. When i start te scooter again the engine light will came on after 5-10 minutes of driving. This repeats itself every time. The scooter runs just fine and the voltage is good. With heavy acceleration it does not exceed 15 volts. what could be the problem? I have an appointment at the dealer next week, but I was curious.

Coolant? I know not what your weather was; however, it may be an easy solution.

I have a Beverly 300 from 2012 myself. It did some 30.000km without any issue.

After 5 to 10 minutes, that is about the time the engine needs to get to stable operating temperature.
You do not experience any issue in the driving, no other alarms go off, so I expect the engine is fine.

The dealer will read out the alarm, but if you ask me to make a guess then I think there is a problem with the lambda sensor.
