I don't know the specs, but I admire your attention to detail. Spot welding is really cool as it's original.

Are you shopping for a spot welder to do it yourself? Some autobody shops are equipped with excellent spot welding equipment.

I have a small spot welder that runs on 220v. Something like that would probably have the juice to weld Vespa thickness metal. The issue I have with mine is that it only has one set of short tongs, so it limits what I can do with it. I bought it to do spot welds on a VW bus, but there are very few places the tongs can actually reach. I considered buying or making other tong sets but never got around to it. It's also fiddly to get the tongs to line up when clamped and I spend a lot of times dressing the tips with a small file.

As for specifics requirements for power and duration, it's like any other welding; trying it out on scrap pieces of the same thickness until you are satisfied with the welds.
