no.

that's a two post asymmetric vehicle lift with what appears to be one of the arms removed and a custom platform built out of plywood and what looks to be 2x4

that also looks like a giant pain in the ass to work on-- reaching for stuff and walking around if you need to get at something in the front.

pass.

the base/footprint of the max jack is small. the premise is that using two they lift straight up and kind of "push" against each other.

although, there is an option to roll the max jack to a position where it bolts to the floor. which I would begrudgingly accept, but only if I had extensive knowledge of the thickness of the concrete slab, the PSI of the concrete, the type of anchors and inspected the attaching hardware ahead of time.

if I showed up to work on that and it was already in the air? no way Jose.

It's certainly interesting…but I don't see what purpose the gantry serves besides getting in the way when you're trying to work. I guess if you were just doing a tire or had everything loose to yoink a motor? But still, looks needless to me.

Lift table is nice though.

you could just as easily position your lift in the shop and use a chain fall from an overhead beam. that thing just looks like something else to eat up shop real estate.

while I like the theory of that lift table there's a whole bunch of nonsense. the catch bar looks like a pain in the ass to engage/disengage, you can't store anything underneath it which is total BS, and those sliding leaves on the rear deck would absolutely be trashed within three weeks at any working shop, rendering them useless and any tech assigned to that lift fuming.

there's nothing here that couldn't be accomplished using a standard deck lift equipped with a rear tire drop out and a center jack.

but it sure looks pretty.

Whatever the merits of this type of lift might be in the motorcycle world, I can state with authority that this mechanism does not work for a modern Vespa.

I actually have a manual version of this lift -- it's good for lifting heavy machine tools into place in the workshop. jimc has one as well -- he made it work for a Vespa with a somewhat scary looking wooden platform:

Yes. Typically for these kind of lifts, manufacturers supply different adapters based on vehicle type, like https://on-bike.com/

A lot of these types of businesses are family owned so you can often tell them what you need and they're sometimes willing to do a one off fit for purpose.

It doesn't make sense for me because I'm up to 6 or 7 bikes now, and I just can't justify the space for something that will only lift one bike, but, it does look stable to me.

As a general-purpose bike lift, I think you just can't beat something like this:

(And I do actually own one).
