A friend inherited one, restored it and he doesn't ride it but starts it once in a while.

So we had this argument about oil. He claims he does not need to put oil in the fuel (gasoline).

Aren't they 2 stroke engines? How is it that it doesn't take oil?

It's a 4 stroke. Cushman started making 4 strokes in 1922.
