Hey now -- does anybody here have any experience with the Karacho Tacho for PX Lusso from SIP?

I see it has the same power box as the old Sip Speedos, which suggests it's probably broadly similar in quality. Which is to say, not great, but not terrible. A friend just tried talking me out of buying this shiny made-in-China piece of crap, and I'll take that advice to heart. But some of the problems that've bedevilled me for the longest time with a pair of used Lusso speedos the last long while -- a non-functioning gas gauge, for one thing, and a speedo needle that jumps around and is 30% optimistic -- might be solved by the Karacho + a non-mechanical speed sensor.

So yeah, for anybody out there who's got one --

-Does the lens fog up when left out in the rain?
-Is the CHT/AFR/EGT text larger than the old SIP Speedos, and more readable?
-Is the digital display readable in the sun?
-Are there any finicky pain-in-the-ass things about it?
-I know it's only been out for 4 months, but any reports of it dying prematurely?
-Does the fuel gauge work?

Thanks folks!

First off, KOSO is a Taiwanese company, not Chinese…

I have one in the box, just tested it when I got it from my supplier just to make sure it worked. More or less it's the same as any other SIP speedo. There's also a new 2.1 version copying the older PX style…

Aha, didn't realize KOSO made these in Taiwan. I stand corrected. I've had a bunch of KOSO sensors that've lasted quite a while. But the SIP Speedo I bought in 2012 lasted all of 2 years before giving up the ghost. And the fuel gauge never worked. And it got condensation behind the lens after only a few weeks. Was hoping that with these latest iterations some of those kinks could've been worked out.
