Since the last SKOK post is 6 years old I thought it was time to start something new.

This will be a very Anglophile kinda post so please don't get too confused by the language

Back to the scooters....

Unfortunately the last minute change around with Canada losing it and Pontadera gaining it plus moving forward to April has left me unable to.

Just logged in after two weeks camping (campervan) in the West Country and spotted this thread up top.

Somerset well flooded...

Hornet still starting first time and still on original exhaust (that's torn it...).

It's persisted down all day here

At least we've been missing the atmospheric rivers back home in California.

The campervan was very cheap to hire this time of year (£28 per day), so we took the chance on the weather. Had two or three blue-sky days, but driving along the 2-metre wide Cornish roads with 3-metre high hedges in a 2-metre wide van when the cloud cover is at 0ft was - interesting.

Pepy - glad to see you've still got the lust.

I did see some drone footage of the car scooter park, it looked very well attended, considering it was so ruddy cold on Saturday morning!

I don't think there will ever be a time in human history when a Cosa is considered a good looking scooter

but I'm glad there's still a few about, because they are great rally mile munchers

They are definitely in the "looks only a Mother could love" category.

Nick Skeat formerly FB of Scooterboyworld forum swears by them, almost everyone else on the planet, not so much.

I woke up this morning planning to visit my friendly (rapacious? grasping?) insurance office and renew the insurance on the scoot so I'd get a week or so of riding before the surgery thing and

I walked away from a 2008 Honda CBR 600 earlier that had been traded by my local Dealer.

4 owners, 28,000 miles, in pretty good condition for its age but I could have easily spent £500 making it good.

£980 to me.

I'm 73, and if the funds were agreeable, I would have this '24 ZX14 (Zed 14?) in the garage alongside my Triumph Rocket 3R (and GTS300, of course).

Ok, I would probably give a nod to my ancient and increasingly decrepit bio-structure and install a set of one-inch bar risers, but other than that, I would be just fine with it.

Many of my most enjoyable machines over the years have been otherwise 'useless'.

Although many of my bikes have served now and then in a practical capacity, it was never their main purpose, very much including my Vespa. My bikes are toys. The car carries the groceries.
