Solved the issue.

Warning light on the dash was on this morning but it started up just fine.

I re routed the pig tail and lubricated both latches then gave them a good work out with repeated seat slamming.

Sorted.

The Tech, who 2 months ago had agreed to do all the remedial work on the BMW has changed his mind because he's just too busy.

Recovering from a left thumb joint replacement so no more riding in 2024 for me.

No more riding the Trumpet for the rest of this year for me also as after my trip to Spain and Portugal on it last month it is now on SORN.

Talking of SORN - for those who regularly do this I only recently spotted you can pay VED via DD. This makes it much simpler to declare SORN - no phaffing around with refunds, the DD just stops.

But I suspect you all knew tthat anyway.

So I've done it again

Didn't get on with the R1200r after 7 months so i parted it in against a 2016 Triumph Tiger 1200 XRT with the parts catalogue thrown at it for good measure.

Thats a big heavy beast Pepy, how are you getting on with it so far?

Not collected the Triumph yet but it didn't feel any heavier than the R1200r

The weight on the Triumph is higher up I'm guessing.

Yep, the lady I know who rides a R1200R got that bike because the Tiger 800 she had previously was too top heavy for her, the Tiger 1200 will be even heavier.

Nice bike though if you're at least average height and weight.

There's nothing average about Pepy.

Love the colour. If you can handle the weight of the thing then you will get on with it great.

I've had it's smaller sibling for nearly 7 years and I have no plans to change bike anytime soon. It obviously helped by having as you have the top of the range XRT spec.
