If I really have to put my DOB in somewhere that's not official or important I always put February 29th to limit the unwanted attention.

Put some more miles on this old knocker the other day.
It's kind of fun trying to get the best out of 20HP especially when it only gets delivered between 3500 and 4500 rpms. It red lines at 6000 rpms At least it's not ugly eh ?

I have a very nice Stainless Steel pipe on mine.
I've been looking at those YSS shocks as mine are as soft as shit. |

Thank you very much. Mine has these awful faux air reservoir things on them that are embarrassing, so they really have to go.

I was out on the Crossdresser yesterday after I put the original "low" screen back on.
The air flow is actually cleaner now even though there's less protection from the wind. It also looks a lot better. |

Yet another " My Local Dealer" story.
The owner of my favourite shop recently took on the Chinese brand QJ Motor on the promise that the distributor wouldn't supply any other shops nearby. Imagine his surprise when 2 other shops were seen stocking the same motorcycles that were less than 30 minutes away. Uncanny eh ? |

If it was a verbal promise it sounds like he is naive, if on the the other hand he has that clause in a signed contract....

This is the funny bit.
My Dealer has sold 10 QJ Motor bikes. Another dealer has sold 1. The other two nothing. Very odd. |

Which dealer will be servicing these in 3 years?
Haha. Just kidding. We all know the answer. |

It's a valid observation to make as I got into a little back and forth with the Owner about the age old argument of look what you're getting for the money.
In 3 years time ( if you keep it that long ) you'll be left with something worthless that no one else wants to buy and no one knows how to maintain. That is of course if you can get the parts. |

There was a delightful moment when it was pointed out that the low mileage BMW F900 in the shop had a Chinese engine but the built quality of the used Beemer was actually better than the new QJ Motor product.
There's a reason they are so cheap. |

I believe that the pricing is set by the Manufacturer.
The reputation of my local shop is better than the closest competitor. The closest rival shop is 30 minutes away and the furthest, about an hour and a half. Not a great distance when compared to the US but close enough over here to make a difference. Shitty work on behalf of the Distributor. |

That would be correct if it actually went anywhere near "fast".
It's an absolute glorious waste of time. |
