Modern Vespa

Hi. Any riders in Ottawa On CANADA area interested in getting together for a ride once snow melts? I am getting antsy. My husband & 1 both ride Vespa 300's. We live near IKEA so more on the west side but that isn't a show stopper.

Totally agree. Late night posting not always the best time to post. Poorly phrases, scooting is the best in all its forms.

There is a big rally in Kingston in June called Canada Vespa Days and registration just opened yesterday. Look on FaceBook for Vespa Club of Canada

Yes I was, I am no longer. Sadly you need to be riding a Vespa to be part of the club and you need to ride a Vespa to be part of that rally. It's $160 per person at the door, ride costs separate. I am looking to ride, not shell out hundreds. But thank you for the suggestion.

Your original post said both you and your wife ride Vespa 300s but here you seem to indicate that you don't?? Confused.

If you are riding Vespas hoping the club enables you to find other riders. You don't have to go to the rally mentioned

Hi. Thanks. We ride. I have cousin who doesnt own Vespa who I want to ride with. We are looking for friends to scoot with in area, Vespa or not, to ride with. We don't want to have to pay membership or hundreds of dollars and be limited by who we ride, hence trying to find people to scoot with in our area. Again thanks for the suggestion. I guess I should have indicated that lack of interest in paying to scoot.

I was just giving suggestions. I have seen posts on the Canada Vespa Days rally from several riders from Ottawa. They are members of the Vespa Club of Ottawa.
I utilized the search function for Vespa Club of America database and found about 10 people here in Vermont that I did not know. We have all gotten together for rides and meet over the winter once a month to keep in touch and plan rides. We have non Vespa riders that ride with us including one motorcycle rider
The cost for this membership is $35 USD and I consider it a small price to meet others especially in such a small locale as Vermont

Thank you. Yes I appreciate your suggestion and time. I actually have a membership to VCC and VCOA. I appreciate the USA one for the goodies bag and roadside assistance and notice there are not restrictive save some rallies that say Vespa only, and I get it, they can decide how they want to run the show. VCC is Vespa only so I won't renew the VCC next year but will continue with my membership in USA since I want to do rallies in USA next year. Once I get a vintage scoot I will def do done virage rally's in USA. my cousin scoots on a piaggio as a new rider and she was kicked out of VCC here because she rides a piaggio so I just want to find riders who scoot in area so we can do it without membership.

Good luck in your search. I live in the opposite end of Ontario and don't think there is another Vespa within 200 miles of me.

Where about are u in Northern Ontario? We are going to Manitoulin Island and trailering the Vespas. First two weeks in August
