Hello all

Ride info
'64 Allstate
150cc
Vape ignition
Sip 2 exhaust

I went to ride my '65 Allstate today and just a block away it came to a quick stop after down shifting at a light. I pushed it in neutral back home. Am not able to push Kickstart lever(it is stuck) if I pull the clutch in I can get the Kickstart to move like normal. Tried to bump start it and it just stops completely. Once I got it home I found that if I turn the flywheel and push the Kickstart at same time it will move but not smoothly(verystiff and sticks). I removed the plug and piston cap and it moves the whole motion but seems to be sticking as it turns. I removed the flywheel and all looks good and have same issue with it off. I pulled clutch in and tried to turn flywheel and it's. Very hard to turn, stiff and sticky. Won't turn easily

Any thoughts on what issue would be or what I need to check next?
Clutch, split case and check crank and bearings?

Thank you for any help or info

Sounds like its could be siezed. Have you pulled the cylinder and have a look at the piston and bore? Pictures too please.

Is there supposed to be a cylinder head gasket?

No sign of a head leak, but sounds like a seize.

There's that interesting bit of wash on the piston crown. Maybe a leak at the base by the transfer?

Found my issue. Pulled off the cylinder and found the piston pin is seized to the rod.

Need to figure iut how to get pin out without damaging anything.

A wrist pin puller will help.

if it's OG with the bushing in the rod and not the bearing, you'll want to update that or risk it happening again if you don't do something to correct it.

glad it's thus far and easy fix...

Thank you. Yeah I'm glad it's not to bad. I'll se if it's bushing or bearing. I'm guessing it's bushing as the only thing added was the piston and cylinder to make it the 150cc from 125cc

I did the same thing. Except I went to a penasco two port 177 kit. With a bushing. The bushing didn't last long...

Did you have to change the rod that had a bearing or just change the bushing to bearing on same rod?

I split the cases and put in a new crank that utilized a bearing at the wrist pin. And while I was in there I replaced the bearings and seals, and opened up the rotary pad a bit.
