Hi, 1st world problem, purchased an MP3 250cc, with a destroyed ignition switch and no keys, contacted Piaggio, replacement ignition key and lock no longer available for purchase. Is there anyway to disable immobilizer so that I can install a third party switch & key.

No worries, perfectly legitimate question no matter which part of the world you reside in.

The dealers do not want to maintain anything over 10 years for Piaggio but fi you ask nicely and provide the parts they may help you out.

Parts can be found on EasyParts.com. But you must check the VIN and model for your Mp3 to make sure you are getting the correct parts. While many parts are common across all models, some are surprisingly model unique.

any ignation switch of a Mp3 will work

you only need to re program the ECU to accept new keys transponderchips

there is a tool with software that can read the hex code https://www.immo-tools.lt/en/distributors.htm about 200 euro

find someone who all ready bought it in the US

Find a immo specialist they can read write and make transponderschip to put in the new keys

Buy a used ECU/ throttlebody with transponderchips or with complete ignationswitch with key

contact these guys, they should be able to reset the ecu and then make a new key without having the originial keys
