Hi all. I was watching a video of a guy fitting a Malossi gear up kit and had a thought. The GT 200 rear axle and gear are no longer available new in the UK. There don't seem to be many second hand ones around either. Checking on eBay though, there are a lot of GT 125 gearbox parts around.
Getting back to the video. The guy uses a press to push the shaft out of the gear and then fit the Malossi one. Soooo....you could technically drive off the 125 gear which has a different number of teeth, and press on the gear from the 200.
I have a 125 rear axle but my 200 axle which is a bit dodgy at the swing arm end is back in the bike, so I can't compare dimensions. Based on the engine blocks being so similar though, I would have thought they would be the same?
Has anyone been down this route or does anyone have any info?
I noticed that the primary drive has the same gear teeth count and now on the parts site has the same part number for both the 125 and 200.
