I've received a report about having trouble logging in from a phone, with the same person saying logging in from the desktop is working fine.

I'm also seeing some traces in the log of people trying repeatedly to log in but the server isn't getting a username. Which seems... odd.

If anyone else is having similar issues, I'd appreciate hearing about it.

Logged in with my iPhone. No problems.

Logged out and logged in with Safari (and extensions) in Safari, no problem.

If you want somebody to try something specific, let us know.

I have been logged in continuously for weeks. Extra logged out and logged in again, no problem. (iPhone with chomebased-Edge)

Possibly a one-way message for Bob: I got your email, and responded. I've also sent test messages to both of your email addresses. If you haven't received any of those (or, ideally, even if you have) please email me again.

Hah! That was actually meant for Bob Copeland, who is also having difficulty.

But glad it's resolved.

Potentially of interest: I just noticed that when I click on the "new" button, the list is very short, 5 or 6 items. When I go into the "general discussion", I can see that there are many times more updated topics that are new since I was last here.

The "New" forum can be misleading. It's not all unread topics -- it's only the ones that were new since your last session. Since you've been logging in repeatedly (though only partially successfully) your latest session was actually only a short time ago.

just fyi, I've got a few reports from the NSM crowd about having difficulty connecting via mobile.

iPhone & android, so there may be a ghost in the machine. seemingly both are fine via desktop.

It *should* be resolved now. Hopefully. Please ask anyone with issues to try again.

Thanks for the assist, Jess. For a petty tyrant, you're okay! I'd been having trouble since last night on my phone and on my desktop, but it all seems to be working fine now. Amazing how much I missed MV just since last night!

NSM on the ground agents correspondents are reporting the system is working for them as well.

Let this be a lesson to us all: don't f@#$ with cookies!.

Also, a lesson to myself: don't take Chrome's behavior for granted.

Having now absorbed some background information about the subtleties of modern browser cookies, I have made another adjustment to the way MV writes them.

yesterday I had a problem logging in, both in Chrome and on my mobile.
After logging in, I was greeted by the inscription "welcome guest" and I saw myself nick on the list of users. However, unfortunately I was not logged in.
Today everything is fine

But what happened to Bob? Now you've got us worried.

Bob Copeland was having trouble logging in yesterday. I've been in touch with him via email. Hopefully he'll be able to log in today.

Hi, I have a suggestion to put the e-mail support@modernvespa.com in the FAQ because when I couldn't log in I had no contact with anyone. Here, in the general list of topics, this thread will be on the next page after some time and it may be difficult to find it after some time...
