Hi, Can anyone help me, I have an MP3 500 sport,2017 and need to repair the water pump, I have the casing unbolted but can't get it passed the exhaust down pipe. I tried to loosen the two bolts from the engine but can't get any access to them. Has anyone come across this and if so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Maybe download the workshop manual from link below, and search exhaust

Wobble extensions are the answer here - but they are hard to find at a reasonable price in the UK.

Hi Jimc

Been trying everything I can but it looks like I have to take the engine out, surely this can't be the only way???

no need to remove the pipe to get the flywheelcover off to get to the waterpump if you remove muffler you can yank the pipe outwards it can rotate in the clamp holding it to the exhaust port

That will give enough room to get the cover of don't forget the 2 bolts behind the oilfilter also when re-assemble don't forget to align the notch on the shaft otherwise the cover will break
