Hi All

I've recently had the Malossi Variator 2000 kit installed on my i-get Sprint 150.

The extra responsiveness on take-off is just what I'd hoped for but unfortunately I don't like the extra vibration (particularly on the floor).

My question is whether the cylinder kit also introduces vibration?

Thanks!

Confused. Did you install both?

Apols

I've installed the variator but not the cylinder kit.

I'm hoping I can get the extra power from the cylinder kit without the vibration that the variator has introduced

Cheers

How is the vibration at 80+ kph vs what it was before?

Prior to the mod i never actually noticed any vibration now at any speeds I can feel it.

It's most annoying at lower speeds 40-60kmh.

At 80kmh I still notice it to be honest I don't really go that speed and over it very often.

Unlike the floor there is a slight difference on the grips but it's small and not an issue for me

I love the Multivar 2000 variators. I've never noticed any bonus vibrations when installing one. I suspect something is off in the assembly. Perhaps the fixed ramp plate isn't installed completely flat? Are all the rollers the same weight or are you running mixed weights? If you are running aftermarket weights pull them out and verify all the weights weigh the same on a kitchen scale. V-slides sliding freely or broken? I've had mixed weights before and they caused a weird vibration. Pull, inspect and re-install and see if the vibration goes away.

No disrespect but I would be checking your work, from your last post it sounds like something is not true/running off center at the lower speeds you mention then gradually getting less at higher speeds.

No disrespect taken.

I actually had a scooter mechanic that advertised Malossi.

When I queried the vibrations he said it was normal and due to the engine revs being higher and that after a while I'd get used to it.
