I used stick-on mirrors like these for awhile, but they never really worked well. The mirror was prone to shaking out of alignment. I had thought that because it was on the end of a little stalk that I could position into the corner of the mirror and thus gain the convex mirror without loosing too much of the main mirror.

Tried these too but it wasn't a very good fit either, covered too much of the main mirror.

In the end I just loosened the bolts on the main mirrors then moved the whole stalk into a better position. With the main mirrors tightened into the new position and adjusted I was able to see around the bike better and especially checking behind me while cornering on twisty roads.
You could also get secondary bar-end mirrors but that makes the bike over-all wider and they aren't in the field of view while riding. There are also secondary mirrors that can attach to the existing mirror stalks but you'd have to devise a secure way of attaching them.
