We met at The Thumb, a gas station, carwash, gift shop, convenience store, and BBQ joint for our picnic fixins. Even with their hands in many pots, they do themselves proud. The food was top-notch, the goodies for sale aren't tourist crap, and the gas is decently priced for the area.
We had to ride about 8 miles in a straight line before we came to more interesting terrain. Alas, one rider started burning oil just before we got to the fun stuff, so he and his friend smartly decided to head home. I also forgot to turn on our camera until we were past some of the early pretty bits and well on our way to the lake.
Once we arrived and sat down to eat, the wind became a real problem. We spent most of our time eating with one hand and chasing runaway items with the other. About an hour later, we got back on the road.
We used our new Insta360 X3 camera to make this short three-and-a-half-minute video. Except for the intro, extro, and closing text, the latest Insta360 Studio 5.0 was used. It will take some time to get used to keyframes to change the view, but I love not missing a thing on our rides!
Thank you for watching.
