About to receive mentioned scooter that is all original that owner wants a 12V conversion done, for better lighting and doing away with points type ignition, and battery delete. Here's my list...

https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/product/ignition-pinasco-flytech_25356853

https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/product/light-switch-grabor-conversion_60092910

https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/product/wiring-loom-sip-premium-conversion-to-parmakit-vespatronic-malossi-polini-pinasco-ignition_86135254

https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/product/brake-light-switch-pascoli_18163700

So just wondering if I'm missing anything, aside from the 12V bulbs, or should be doing anything differently?

Wouldn't go with a Pinasco flytech.

The plastic fan is too soft and the screws that attach fall out.

Any reason for the choice?[/url]

Nah, no reason for Pinasco, is there a kit that you'd suggest?

Vape, VMC, malossi vespower…

Any in that order of preference would be great.

Vape is definitely the most stable I've tried. Must be the way the coils are designed.

You could go either way.

With Pinasco, you could always exchange the nylon fan with aluminum.

With Vape, you bolt on your original fan to the Vape hub. You also get the choice of static or variable.

I have Pinasco flytechs on 2 scoots and a Vespatronic on another...

I agree the Pinasco plastic fan is a compromise, but I run em on two scoots that purr well over many miles and have had no issues.

The terminals in the Pascoli brake light switch are unsolderable. Do yourself a favor and make your own terminals out of copper (such as copper water pipe).

Searching under GS on SIP site, no vape, or VMC, etc comes up.. are you saying that different version will fit? I'd probably just go with a VAPE if they had one.

I like the idea of bolting on the original fan...

I have one for my GS. Got it from SIP. Scooter Center has it too. I think there's a Vape for all the engines.

You're right Stuart, seems they don't make the vape for the 160 or the SS 180. Bummer.

All I could find was the Pinasco version... and maybe the Vespatronic one but I think that's a bit more light tune orientated with the lighter flywheel 1490g.

Same here. Someone on ebay claimed to have a vape for the 160 but it was bogus.

I've been following this company for some time now. They are producing EI for GS, SS, and Rally taper using components from Vape. Why the big box stores don't sell it I'm not sure. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah me too, following them for a while. Their fans seem great… cost a pretty penny though.

I did ask them what's the difference between their ignitions and sip (besides the fan design) and they didn't get back to me.

Remember seeing a vape for the gs160, just couldn't remember where…

I ended up installing a Pinasco EI on a Rally 200 crankshaft and using a EI conversion harness for the German market Rally 200. It was truly plug & play with the Pinasco have two AC leads. If I were to do it again, I would make my own conversion harness and match it up to the YGROS Vape with 1 AC lead. Then regulate/rectify the single AC lead using regulator/rectifier adjacent the battery.
