I wish you joined sooner before you purchased the parts. DR is OK cylinder kit, sort of in the medium or average in the tier of quality. It is relatively affordable but for a Pennie more(in your country is a pence more) you could get a proven Malossi kit.
As far is the Malossi exhaust, they have an excellent exhaust box and a not so good expansion chamber righty exhaust which they wrote an article showing the poor internal design. A true statement of "looks good from far but far from good", in this case it looks very promising on the outside but unfortunately the inside is full of walls(chambers) and it is very restricted. I have one on hand as a matter of fact. As per the carburator, you can totally get away with the 20/20. It would be the last thing in my checklist but it doesn't hurt. I am running a 20/20 on a Malossi 177 cast iron and I am reaching 50 mph(GPS) in 9.5 sec, that would almost show 60MPH on a PX150 speedo. Last but more importantly. I am confident that you can do the cylinder kit, the carburator and the expansion chamber(exhaust) on your own. It is not too hard. The most challenging thing would be the wrist pins and the studs but everything else should be fairly easy. Do you have a low scale torque wrench? you would need one to do the job correctly. You can still do the job but I recommend torque everything. I can send you the torque specs for everything. Good luck! |

Thanks guys I had thought about giving it a go myself time to do the work is problem scooter runs well as is apart from the usual hills I was going to purchase a molassi kit but either wasn't instock or abit more than I could afford at time as for the exhaust just after purchasing that I found that I could have gotten an original looking sip exhaust I don't have a torque wrench but I'm purchasing one so the torque settings would be great on e again thanks for the replies I'll certainly be posting again if need advice

^^ the SIP exhaust are great for the price. I run two SIP SR3s right now and I recommend them. They even came out with the V3.1 but you bet next year it will be the "V4" and so on.. just like the iPhones
