Started to assemble my BGM Superstrong clutch for ET7 engine. I've had this clutch for years unused, since it did not fit with DRT Runner shaft. During this time I have cannibalized the disc stack to my other clutch which is currently inside my other engine.

I have a Newfren clutch disc set that has four corks and three steel plates. Two of the intermediate steel discs are thin and one is thick. Does it matter where the thicker one goes?

Newfren F1192S ECO is the type of the kit. I will use only the steels from this since I have the red BGM plates already.

One intermediate disc is 1,5mm while the thinner ones are 1,0mm.

Another possibility is to crack open another kit and use only 1mm steels.

Something to perhaps think about, thinner steels will 'cut' into the inner basket 'fingers' sooner.

That's a good point indeed. I took the stack apart once more and placed the thicker steel in the middle. Reasoning in my mind is that it is able to soak in more heat in the middle of the clutch, while thinner ones are closer to the bigger masses of clutch bottom and top cover.

I also checked that there is reasonable space for separation when the clutch springs are compressed.
