I have just bought a vespa lx50 and when its cold the starter has no problem turning the engine and staring but when the bike gets to operating temperature the starter spins but dose not seem to engage the flywheel any thing that could be causing this

Side note
The bike seems to be unrestricted and maybe have aftermarket clutch or 70cc kit
Have not opened the CVT yet can i please have some advice
