Just curious what are the labor rates close to you. Closest Vespa dealer to me that sells/ service and repair ( amongst other brands) is in S.A. Texas is $120/ hr. Inquiring minds want to know !

Major brand MC shops around here are $120-$150 (US) per hour labor rates, with the majority at or near the higher amount.

No Vespa/scooter shops around here for 400 miles, so I don't know about their rates.

I've been servicing and fixing my own Vespa as a necessity, and charge myself in aggravation units, which can accumulate surprisingly fast.

My mechanic, Alex, charges $95. per hour.

I don't think he charges for every hour as I know he spent more time than he charged for on some of the work.

We get along well.

I never complain and always let him know how much I appreciate his work.

We don't have a Vespa dealer in town, and even if we did, I doubt that they would work on my old GTs.

Thanks for the replies. I also do my own work, and have for the last 55+ yrs. Just curious what rates are like around the U.S.
