I have been searching all the vendor sights for a straight forward conversion to CDI for my double yellow wire system with a battery---It seems every one has conversions for the latter models but never approach the double yellow subject... I found a BGM conversion kit cheep enough but it says it is for 82434 and on mine is an early version *71729* for the USA market. I've been told that lml or Baja ignitions works okay---Have a hard time even with scooter center to get a straight answer on this subject... I don't want a lightened fly wheel or some sport or road tune modification just The CDI dependability of the later models that is it --Oh and the high output wattage of 96 or 120 watts would be good too... That's all I'm looking for when I pull loose the yellow purple black and green what do they hook to stuff---Since we know the double yellow both went to a full bridge rectifier and to the battery how it all fit in their with the right connections... Looking for the right stuff and tired of the scooter people bullshit opinions need it in black and white---hell even bought a manual to trace the wiring and the only model it did not show was mine -So been around this circle a few times with people. in several areas even this message board has a bad rep but thought I'd give it a shot since I've emailed a lot of people just to see whop evades the question and who has solid answers....

you are not going to find a conversion kit Plug & Play for our American wiring systems. so you have to do a little more work. here goes-

so you are installing a one power out, electronic ignition on a p125x.

simple enough.

you will need a common universal regulator/rectifier. BGM's are good.

1) tie up AC power out to Yellow #1 at junction box. This will take unregulated AC to your New regulator/rectifier. Now you have DC out to battery. You also have regulated AC out, tie this to Yellow #2 wire. trace this to your junction box. tie together yellow #2 and purple. that will take regulated AC to headlight.

2.)The wire that runs from your flasher to your original rectifier, tape it up. it will not be used anymore.

https://www.scooter-center.com/en/search?sSearch=BGM+regulator

i too have a bad rep, so i guess it's par for the course.

The easier way to go would be to find a P200, double yellow stator with a p200 flywheel. then you don't have to run a different regulator/rectifier. it's simply plug & play with the wires at the junction box.

Thank you that's the best answer and closest to the facts I've heard so far..the retrofit for the rectifier on that model has double yellow and one red and it tells you to tape up the purple that goes to the flasher just that simple I thought there was a simple way of reaching what I wanted to find but everybody wants to play where's Waldo on here I'll try to write this down and draw out a schematic of what you're talking about all I know is right now I have purple black double yellow and green coming out just wanted to know what I had to jump to what to get it to work I didn't think it needed to be a whole wiring harness thanks for your help the bgm kit that scooter center has I don't know I'll have to look at the colors and see what it is and maybe I'll get back to you and you could draw me out something for my simple ass I do pretty good when it comes to matching one thing for the other but as far as pulling a whole harness on a moped just for that little bit of fucking performance seems like a little bit too much for me just like the idea of a little bit higher wattage and a little bit more dependability that's all I could care less about going 80 miles an hour on wheelbarrow tires

hey Craig, we might play where's Waldo and all be a bunch of scumbags but we don't charge for punctuation. so feel free to use some periods, commas and sentence breaks.

btw the search function is loads better than it's ever been and still leaves a lot to be desired.

good luck with your conversion.
