I have 2 2020 scooters [liberty, MP3] which I ride at least twice a month, both batteries crapped out. Both were new bikes from the dealer. The MP3 have a voltage readout & I checked the voltage on the liberty after installing a new battery to assure charging system operation....
While you make get a longer life out of a battery, is it really worth trying to find a replacement on the road?

Why would I waste $25 on a load tester that costs 1/2 as much as a battery?

Nor would I spend 3-4 times the money for a lithium battery that may or maynot be compatible with the charging system? if you must have a lithium make sure to buy a battery with a built in BMS unit.

Here in Finland where is half a year winter and half of the year cold, we drive only when cold. So, the battery is off and inside in wintertime. I charge it 2 times during that season. My first battery lasted 6 years and this next 4. and going on. Never had need for charging during drtiving-season. Easy and not expensive could be change battery on every time changing brake-fluid and cooland, so every other year? I'm still not doing that, or bying any gimmicks, as these Yuasas seem last nicely.

My condolences.

Being a former Minnesotan, I can relate to the discouraging situation you find yourself in.

Today, I must get the battery back into the 42 inch Craftsman mower that's been hibernating in the backyard shed since last October, and cut the grass for the first time this season.

But not before either riding the Triumph...or top-down Miata up to Deadwood for a coffee and a scone (ANYTHING but blueberry, I hate blueberry) via fifty miles of beautiful Black Hills back roads.
