The Orange Impulsivo has been available at the SuperSport since October 22 (together with the MY23 facelift). So 2 years now (yes, I know that new models always take a few months longer to become available in the US).
By the way: The Orange Impulsivo was previously available on the GTS Classic (with chrome) since fall 2021. Nobody wanted the color then...

A bit of an odd flash in the pan that fashionable love for orange. I was born in the Netherlands where orange is a royal thing but the r.o.w. in general shunned it. Whomever has tried to sell an orange car will know
In my Spanish world orange is only appreciated for fruit and contrasting colour accent. Like on the GTV it does very well.

Collected my new 310 yesterday, first impressions are good - just need to run it in, dealer said no heavy throttle or going over 90 / 100kmph for the first 500 - 1,000km. I bought a front fender extender to protect under the bike but I can't bring myself to put it on! I don't plan to drive in the wet! The dealer suggested a transparent shrink wrap under the leg shield (the area right behind where the mudguard ends), plus I was going to add some sort of protection spray for the section underneath to prevent rust. Anyone got any tips?[/img]

Although common sense idea for the first rides to make sure all works as it is supposed to, the running is mainly an echo from days past.
Would not worry about it. Bedding in the brake pads in the main worry nowadays Unless you live in the southern hemisphere, the weather is not going to overheat anything either
Just alternate loads a bit and then have fun.

Cheers Petrus. I know what you mean about the brakes, I've never had a brand new bike before - luckily the dealer also warned me about them - initially I thought the pads had been replaced with bars of soap!!!
I see you are in southern Spain, I'm over on the islands (Palma) so similar climate. Hope those floods didn't affect you.

I treated my whole new scoot with a high quality ceramic coating and gave a second coating to the area behind the front wheel which is affected by dirt/debris throw up by front tire. Won't protect against all possible damage but hardens the finish, making it more resistant, and easy to clean.

No, seriously, you are way further south and out in the ocean; subtropical sea climate. Generally quite mild.
I am at 700 meters altitude on the north side of the southern mountain range, i.e. a dryish mediterranean land climate.
It is surprisingly harsh out here. In general 20 C. difference between day/night with winter mornings 10 below nothing exceptional and ditto over 40 summer.
P.e.1 about per end of Oktober most have the heating on at léast evenings; the whole village smells of olive wood smoke from the chimneys.
P.e.2 we must count with frosted car windscreens 3 months of the year. Expect you need not do much of that

Nice scoot and I see you have made lots of chrome additions. Depending on your climate the damage to the underside of your scoot will vary.

In the uk we have very dirty roads with loose stones. Furthermore as everyone knows our roads are gritted / salted from Nov to March depending on the overnight temperatures.

Anything you do to prevent damage is better than nothing. All actions have a hierarchy starting with fender extenders and plastic deflectors through to washing the underside of the scoot weekly.

I have gone for a carbon effect fender extender to stop the stones and dirt being fired off the tyre into the underside of the lower footboards. I have also coated the underside in a waxoyl material which is water repellent and creeps when damaged. My logic was , stop the physical damage from loose stones and grit, then protect from water ingress leading to premature rusting.

Lastly dont forget to treat the floor pan ( below the battery) from the inside with a water repellent coating to prevent any water that gets in from cleaning or wind driven rain rusting the floor from the inside out.

Hi Petrus, I'm not in La Palma - Canàries, I'm in Palma - Mallorca, Balearic Islands. I'm not too far from the coast but still a little chilly in the winter - know exactly what you mean about the olive wood fires - love that smell!

Thanks Binettasteve for those tips - very useful. Yes, I added the chrome initially to protect it getting clipped in the bike parking areas but must admit I do like the look! Now got the box in place. Decided the OEM was too much red and I wasn't keen on the shape so went for this Shad SH39 carbon - was also a recommendation from the group

I'm Ilias and I'm from Greece.
This is my first post on this forum.
I registered a few days ago as I was looking for my first (used) Vespa.
The forum helped me clarify a lot of things about the different versions and engines over the years.
I finally decided to buy a new Vespa.
Yesterday I ordered my GTS 310 Supersport in Blu Eclettico color.
Unfortunately the Vespa was not available right away, so it was ordered and delivery will be in January 2025.

Brilliant choice. This would be my selection when I've finished with my Street Triple 765R.

I agree, it's a good choice, I was going to get a used one and then a new 300 and when I ordered it, the new 310 was coming so I got one last week - the GTS Super. This group has already helped me with a lot of advice - there are people here who have a lot of useful knowledge. I'm still running in my 310 so it's hard to give a realistic feedback at the moment, I've only done 200km. But if you have any questions about the bike, feel free to ask!

I've already contacted the company that makes the BIG BOX under saddle case to inform me it fits to the new Vespa. I've already ordered the Small Smoked Fly Screen and the Original Anti-Theft Alarm.

I am 99% sure that the BIGBOX will not fit the Vespa GTS 310. The helmet compartment of the GTS 310 is shaped differently in the middle than on the GTS 300 (see https://www.vespagts310.com/vespa-gts-310-faq/grundsaetzliches#ist-das-helmfach-der-vespa-gts-310-wegen-dem-groesseren-motor-kleiner-geworden). On Friday I have the opportunity to test the BIGBOX in the GTS 310, I will report on the result.

Congratulations! The positive of that is it will be registered in ´25; a ´year´ newer when you get to sell it on.

I think the GTS310 might be just what we have all been waiting for. It has 18 gram rollers, for Chrisssake, to keep the revs and noise down. Fit 15 gram rollers or sliders (or less!) and I'm sure it will make a tremendous difference.

The power is there, hiding behind that torque. Just need a better transmission ratio to get it to the rear wheel.

The BIGBOX does NOT fit into the new GTS 310! It doesn't even fit all the way in without a slight push. As soon as the vehicle deflects even minimally, it pushes the BIGBOX up. If the seat is closed, this would inevitably lead to damage to the engine and/or the BIGBOX

IMHO, this is one more reason why relying on the registration year is completely misplaced and a mass delusion that ROTW suffers from. The bike isn't actually newer. It's just registered in a different year.

Thank you very much for your help! I totally agree with that. The date of production is the best way to describe a vehicle. My previous car was constructed in 2011, but I bought it as new in mid 2012 thinking that it was MY2012. Unfortunately, it had every known issue of 2011 production.

I suppose that the reason my Vespa will be delivered on 2025 is that the Blu Eclettico is new color MY2025. Cause my second option (Red) is available right now.

Anyway, I don't really care about the date or the year. I'm planning to keep this one for a long time.
