Ok, in that case mine is referred to as "gulps oil and dodgy fuel pump edition"
Not sure it's a winning title for Piaggio sales types though?

Which range will have the different shape headlight I wonder? Probably the Super Sport to align with the Vespa Sprint maybe?

Piaggio put a stroker crank in the HPE, and offset the wristpin. Same valvetrain as before. No VVT.
From Motorcycle Powersports News The Piaggio 310 HPE Engine – All the Benefits of Downspeeding The new Piaggio 310 is ... an all-new, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, four-valve, single-cylinder engine with electronic injection. The 310 High Performance Engine (HPE) engine – the most recent Piaggio HPE – is designed to enable significant improvements in the riding experience across the board: superior ride comfort, improved drivability, less noise and even lower fuel consumption. All this is accompanied by a tangible improvement in performance. [read more] |

Well, on a related note (not really), you can imagine my disappointment in Triumph with their 'new and improved' 2025 Rocket 3R 'upgrade', bumping it's hp from the 165 of my '22 to a lousy 180, and almost no increase in torque numbers.
If the bastards want my money and the sacrifice of my current wimpy 3R, they can just get their ass busy and find at least 200 hp in that engine, along with a healthy boost in torque from the current model. Oh, and DON'T finish the GD thing in all flat black!...whoopsy, too late, f#ckerZ! Now back to my GTS300...I'm keeping it. |

A closer look shows the one's in the background to be the smallframe models. |

Motovista wrote: These goals have been achieved by increasing the engine capacity from 278cc for the previous 300 HPE engine to 310cc for this version. This increase was attained by maintaining the bore and increasing the stroke. This has resulted in a less "sharp" engine – or in other words, an engine that is more focused on drivability than on achieving the highest possible maximum power output; that said, this still reaches an impressive 19.4 kilowatt (26.4 horsepower) at 7500 rpm. The maximum torque is 27.3 |

So basically I can eat a few more burgers to compensate for the extra torque, or eat less and get the same with the soon to be cheaper 300, winter 300 sales should be good, so my cash will be on a new 300 if it drops 1000 euros.
Adif971 wrote: These are the data for the new MP3 310. The new Vespa GTS 310 will have 25 hp and 28.9 nm of torque. At low and medium speeds it will be much more performing than the current GTS 300 hpe which has 23.8 hp and 26 nm of torque. The largest increase will be in torque and at low and medium speeds the most count the 2.9 nm of torque. |

Pondering ...
I'm going to guess it's exactly the same CVT parts but with a change to the final drive gears to reach the same top speed at lower RPM. Thoughts? |

Again back in pre 1971 a sixteen yr old could learn on a 250cc bike. Then the sixteener law came in , limiting a 16 year old to 50cc, then at 17 we were back to 250cc on L plates. Within a few years the manufacturers managed to get 50cc peds upto 60 mph, so the govt introduced more legislation………….happy days. |

Well many likes the bigger GTS frame, but as driving in the city, it just the same with 125. IF the price is well under, the 125 does the job. Here they have not imported 125 on many years, and yes: we have diffrent licenses to under 125 class. Makes bit wonder there was not enough lower price, and that I know, teenagers with 120 license are the bunch wantin sporty yelling sh...stuff.
