I am getting a clunk when I go over potholes with my large frame. Thinking its an improperly adjusted steering ring nut. Is there a way to check/tighten without detaching all of the cables? TIA.

If you remove the headset bolt, and push the speedo cable up into the fork, from the bottom,you should be able to gently pull the headset off the fork enough the tighten the steering ring nut.

Yeah, I was going to mention the same thing. I dropped the fork without removing the clutch cable. You can see it in this topic: 62 Allstate Cruisaire - getting it back on the road (Post 2383390)
