Hello,

I decided to do my own belt and roller replacement for the 20K kms revision.
Everything went ok except the clutch nut being very very tight.
Anyway.. I replaced the rollers and went to work the next day. The scooter worked perfectly, no issues.
However I double checked today the replaced rollers for usage before throwing them away and saw that on one side they have extra rubber. Haven't noticed when I replaced them.

What's the correct orientation of the rollers? And what could happen if they were mounted randomly?

Maybe you had sliders, not rollers.
Found this random video that explains the difference.
Warning. Manufacturers video, claims may not be noticeable in reality.

If he'd got sliders in higgledy-piggledy he'd have had trouble straight away...

They only work one way round, otherwise variators get jammed up and all sorts of ugliness can ensue.

They were rollers. The old ones were in pretty good shape, comparable to the new ones. Anyway I installed them properly, also my brain was bugging me that I put the belt the wrong way ( it was installed fine but better to double check for sanity ) I also changed the hub oil and greased the steering bolts.

Now I can sleep well Laughing emoticon

"on one side they have extra rubber" must have gotten me confused.
