Why can't I use a 3-port piston in a 2-port cylinder? 3-Port pistons are much cheaper than 2-port pistons.

I have always wondered about that too. Does the Pinasco 177 have some kind of extra port in the piston? Is it any better than using a 3 port cylinder on a 2 port motor.

I'd take a hard look at the windows on the piston - they matter. that being said, you can always modify them if need be.
