Hi I had to replace my speedo gear drive but it keeps chewing them up. I've put two in but now. It did it with the first speedo drive gear so I had the hub off and cleaned it and put it back together then it chew the second one up. I can't see what I'm doing wrong I have installed a couple of them over the years with no problems.

It's ok I found the problem. The metal plate what goings on top of the rubber was moving when I did the bolt up and was moving the cable to one side.
