I'm new, so I wanted to say hello! I joined Modern Vespa in March after purchasing a mint condition 2008 GTS that I uncovered in a garage near Seattle. It had 106 miles on it and after installing a new wiring harness, radiator hoses, flushing the cooling and braking system, and changing the oil. I basically have a brand new scooter. I am so impressed with this community and the vast knowledge represented here! I'm wondering if there are any riders or clubs in Seattle at present. I'm excited to get riding asap!

Welcome! Change the tires ASAP! They are original so like 17/18 yrs old. Tires should be replaced at 5 yrs
Check for fuel pump recall

But yeah...change the tires. My tires aren't but a few months old and I think about 'em every time I ride! (Okay, so I'm crazy OCD!)

Any recommendations for tires - Michelin City Grip, Pirelli Diablo, or other. I'm going to purchase in the next day or so.

City Grips seem by far the most popular.....good tires.

Welcome from Minnesota. Yet another marvelous Dragon Red Vespa. Can life get any better. I bought mine in 2013 and have loved every minute riding it.
I put a Vespa Chrome rack front and back, medium windscreen and check out the black and white checkered seat cover from "Cheeky Seats".

I do admit, I like your wheels better than my blacked out wheels.
