I recently got a vespa t5 as my first vespa or vehicle, and its like in a really bad state, im trying to access the engine to see if the engine is locked or if it can be saved, also i want to see how many parts are missing, problem is amongst rust, dirt and missing bolts i have no idea how to do it, could anyone give me any tips or explain how to do it

Lift up the seat, turn the right hand side cowl latch a half turn, then remove the cowl. Now you have total access to the engine.
