After well over 40 years in my care the '77 Jawa 350 has finally moved on to a new home. It was my first bike and I purchased it new. It put up with years of street racing against vastly superior Yamahas until its motor finally went bang with about 63000km on its clock. It got a complete overhaul a few years later... everything renewed... and was then put aside for later use, like when I retired. The realization that brakes that were crap when new are most likely lethal now has prompted me to sell it on to some collector...

good bye old thing.

That's pretty cool that you have your first bike! It's hard sometimes for me to get rid of an heirloom like that, and I try not to regret it.

Sometimes it feels right to pass it on. As long as you have two wheels to ride on.

Jawa made me think of long gone old outdated eastern-european bikes from the soviet time.

But to my surprise the brand still exists, it is a Czech brand, and they even still produce 2T 300 and 350 bikes for certain markets. https://www.jawa.eu/en

Wow, a recent-model 350 2T would be fun to take for a spin! "Central America, UK, and Russia only."
