I disassembled some things to hard wire my phone charger to the Vespa.

After that my speedo went out.

I also noticed two screws I took out wouldn't go back in (see photos of the screw holes circled).

I'm pretty sure the white clip in the photo attached and circled fell down and the vibration of the scooter allowed the speedo cable to fall out.

I'm going to disassemble it and investigate but before I do -

Questions -
You think that white clip is just sitting there and easily retrieveable or it fell down deep into the body and hard to retrieve?

If the clip is lost, what is the name of that part and part number? I called Scooterwest and tried to describe what I wanted but they didn't know what it was by description.

Any other tips when I do out the clip back? Someone mention something about a washer that has to be in a specific place?

Thanks!

It locks the speedo cable into place to prevent being pulled out from steering.
I went through the parts catalog and do not see this listed. You may have to fabricate one out of a piece of plastic.

I found the part!

https://www.scooterwest.com/rear-brake-cable-typhoon-50-125-2012-newer.html

If I order it and end up not needing it I'm paying shipping there and back.

Anyone happen this part?

In the meantime I guess I'll open it up and see if that clip is still there. I hope so!
