Hi Folks new to the site. From Scotland UK.Seems to be a great site for information on the Vespa auto scooters,I have a GT 200L and am having problems sourcing parts for the Keihin 305f carburetor fitted too the scooter.I cleaned the carburetor and refitted it,went for a run and when I came back the mixture screw had worked its way out and it is lost, sourcing the mixture screw is becoming a nightmare, plenty on Ebay but don't have the original to compare, seems to be the European models we're fitted with the Keihin 305f model and USA with a different one, looked on the Scooterwest youtube channel but it is a different carburetor they are reconditioning, took a chance on one from Ebay but totally different size, does anyone know of an equivalent mixture screw or a source too find one cheers.

Someone replaced the carb with the carb for the GT 125. The GT 200 came with a 301.
It's a Keihin 30mm CVK carb. There aren't replacement parts per se, but there are a lot of kits out for the generic CVK carb that should have the parts you need, except for the bowl gasket. That's not something I've ever seen available.

Thanks for the reply, you are right have had to get mixture screw from generic carburetor, having measured the hole for depth and diameter, it seems a mixture screw from a makini carburetor will fit hopefully cheers.

All the crappy Chinese 150 and 250 carburetors are copies of the Keihin CVK. If the Mikuni part doesn't fit, and I'm surprised it would, knowing there's no love lost between the two companies, anyone with a shop that repairs the chinese scooters likely has a stack of junk carburetors and you could likely get one for nothing, or close. Remember, there's also a spring, tiny little washer and tiny little o-ring that go into that hole too

Yes found spring and washer and o ring but no screw, measuring depth and angle took some doing but pretty confident the mixture screw I have ordered will fit,but will probably have to check spark plug too see if mixture is correct cheers.

As soon as you turn the throttle slightly, you're off the idle circuit and onto the pilot jet, then the main jet. The air/fuel mixture screw won't have any effect on how the mixture is. It determines how smoothly the scooter idles. That's all it does.
