I dunno....I would probably much rather dress like Cillian Murphy in Peaky Blinders...though I know that even if I did, I'd never be as cool as he looked, and I'd end up looking more like Mr. MaGoo with a machine gun.

'Brad' is ok, he's just acting like a psychotic tank commander. I'm sure it'd be interesting to sit down with him and have a nice chat over a happy meal down at McD's.

That's all I get for having the responsibility of driving people's beloved teenagers 350 miles across the state for their stupid sports games, in all sorts of weather, with a 45 foot tour bus, all the while conforming to commercial drivers DOT requirements, regulations, and restrictions, maintaining a clean driving record, submitting to annual DOT physicals, random drug tests, etc, etc, etc. No overtime, no health insurance, no paid vacation, just a flat $20 per hour....before taxes.

Maybe I should consider flipping burgers.

You'd have to move to California, where fast food workers make $20 an hour. But you know, your cost of living would immediately triple so you're almost certainly doing better right where you are.

I know, just the rants of a bitter old man who's Vespa hasn't been on the road for at least five months.

I might consider a move to 1940-1950's California, but probably wouldn't be very happy there in today's world.

All this prep, crazy talk, and nutty outfit assembly, and life has now gotten in the way of my Mpls/St. Paul DGR trip.


I won't be going this year....again.

Truth be told, I'm relieved.

As long as the DGR trip is now out, I will be spending next Saturday as one of the judges for the 1st annual(?) motorcycle/auto show being held at the local Kawasaki/Yamaha/Royal Enfield dealership, so I will be wearing some of my b/w checkerboard 'accessories' for that, at least.
